I snuck off for a quick ride yesterday amidst the flurry of food posts. Initially aiming for Kamakura proper to check the status of cherry and plum blossoms, I ended up exploring further and hit the beach. A lot closer than I initially imagined, the Kamakura coastline will add some grueling hills to the training repertoire or just a nice boardwalk to escape to.

Sand in the bearings be damned. The memories are worth more.

While most were not yet in bloom, I lucked out and passed this particular tree that was littered with beautiful plum blossoms.

These birds were enjoying the windiness and using it to hover in one spot by the boardwalk. I took it as a sign and joined them to take in the breeze.

Gorgeous photography! I love the first one, with the bike.
Thanks for the compliments. Love your nature shots as well. Wish I could explore the west coast.
