Being the huge Gundam fan that I am, it was criminal that I took this long to visit the 1:1 scale RX-78-2 that stands in front of the Diver City Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo. Well, Mimi and I finally made it there a couple of weeks ago and it was better than expected. The Gundam has great amounts of detail and an overall nice finish to the outer surface. Fortunately, Diver City Plaza is a pretty nice mall so we were able to occupy some time between viewing the Gundam during the day and seeing the evening light shows. Next time I’ll have to return wearing my Gundam Banshee costume. I will probably wait until I have a beam saber to carry since I know everyone around here can’t get enough of bright flashy lights.
